Here is way to craft your own stages of spiritual awakening from the direct experiences of your life.
This is an inspiring and empowering process. It is also an incredible stimulator of spiritual realization.
I will share the steps one by one. This is because each step offers unique healing properties. It will be most nourishing if you allow yourself to go slowly. The process is highly intimate and as you explore your energy bodies undergo substantial evolution. It’s kind to allow integration time between each step. Follow the timing that is right for you. There is nothing to “complete” here. But there is much revelation to be experienced.
Let yourself go in the directions that truly interest you. It’s your awakening after all.
Begin discovering The Stages of your Spiritual Awakening…
STEP 1: Excavate your imprints around the stages of spiritual awakening.
Notice and note down what arises when you think about “The Stages of Spiritual Awakening.” This is the primary guidance of step 1.
This is a step of personal excavation. You are opening up to this topic to see what it is currently composed of in your inner landscape. As you bring intentional awareness to your inner landscape you are literally moving energy. As energy moves, pathways of experience can be reshaped. You will discover things you may not have known were there or may not have realized held so much power.
Information may arise for you as physical sensations, emotions, thoughts, or other forms of expression. For a very careful investigation you may wish to look at each of these areas in turn. Ask the physical body what information it is carrying about the stages of spiritual awakening. Then ask your emotional body, thinking mind, your wisdom self, your collective presence, etc.
It is important to give the material of the inner landscape a physical body separate from you. So, in your own way, translate the imprints down onto paper. You can write, draw, or make marks. Whatever works for you. It is scientifically proven that putting hand to paper and making visible marks regulates your nervous system in powerful ways. As you allow your imprinting around spiritual awakening to flow onto paper you will be reducing engrained fear responses. You will also stimulate the brain centers that heighten creativity and critical thinking. This will open portals of revelation.
You can totally let go of having to make “sense” of anything right now. Trust any way of recording the material that allows you to feel closer to yourself in the moment. And as much as you are able, record without judgment. Just let what comes be as it is. In fact, note any strong judgements, positive or negative, that might arise. Those strong judgements hold a lot of power and are very important imprints for you to become conscious of.
As things come up, let yourself be aware of how the imprints are affecting you. Some impressions may feel nurturing and deeply meaningful. Others might feel constraining, invalidating, or boring. Personally when I do my mapping I love to cross things out if I feel they are no longer useful. There is something empowering in exercising my freedom to physically cross it out. You also might want to note where imprints came from if that feels important. Certain people, organizations, or cultural traditions end up having a huge impact on what we expect and can imagine is possible spiritually.
Allow your intuitive wisdom to guide you to what is ready to be known.
If you go at a relaxed pace, returning to the process multiple times over a week, or two, then deeper and deeper layers of imprinting will reveal themselves. Your intuitive wisdom will continue to actively engage in the excavation process even when you are not consciously attending to it. So when you return to the reflection, energy patterns will have already been illuminated and loosened up for you to move. By touching on step 1 multiple times, you will also notice what imprints are the most persistent, pressing forth to be acknowledged. I suggest allowing repetition in what you note down or circling an imprint over and over if it feels particularly fierce in wanting validation during multiple sessions.
Your system will tell you when you are complete with this step. Trust your knowing.
When you are complete set it aside. You will want to reference your excavation landscape in the coming steps.
When you come to a natural completion with this step you will have repatterned a tremendous amount of energy. Encourage a gentle integration by letting your gaze wander around on all that came out for you. Allow yourself to take in your excavation site in a spacious way without having to do anything about it. Stay with this open gazing for as long as feels good, inviting in appreciate for all that you brought to greater consciousness. Then close your eyes and rest for a few minutes before moving into whatever is next in the miraculous flow of your spiritual awakening journey.
